It all begins with an idea

Remake, Version 1

A retired superhero actor stars in, writes the script for, and directs a Broadway musical in an effort to resurrect his faltering career.

As two siblings grapple with the loss of their parents, a fatherly brother strives to reconnect with his independent younger sibling. Together, they navigate the emotional terrain of their past, wrestling with memories and remnants that unveil both heartache and healing.

In our Senior Narrative class, we are challenged to create a 3-5 page script using provided lines, with up to ten original lines allowed. The scene will be shot within 4 1/2 hours, featuring up to three actors and using available materials with a $50 budget.

"Imagine That" is a short scene we created within those restrictions. It depicts two detectives with a mentor-newbie dynamic dealing with an incident, filmed in a Film Noir style that really enhances the mood.

In "Never Too Late," college student Julia returns home with her best friend Natalie for her mom's funeral. As they deal with the grief and family drama, Julia and her distant dad face old wounds and new revelations. This touching short film explores the messy but hopeful journey of reconnecting and healing.

When a timid college professor is asked to defend the chair of his department against a vicious smear campaign engineered by a disgruntled colleague, he must choose between keeping his job and doing what's right.

Candela has distanced herself from her parents. They only care about her exams while Candela feels that there is a bigger world around her. After an absurd argument with her mother, she leaves home and wanders around the city. Only with her friend Bryan finds refuge.

When we can’t avoid being who we are, it can lead to insecurity. When we let our insecurities control us, we are left alone. And oftentimes, telling the truth is the only way we can set ourselves free.

A 25-year-old woman named Naomi is on the verge of moving back in with her parents when she experiences a crisis of faith. In a final act of rebellion, she decides to attend one last party before leaving for good.
